This trend is going to be big spring 2010,and has been seen on all the catwalks from Basso & Brooke to Gucci:

Celebs seen rocking this trend are Leighton Meester wearing Nicole Miller:

and Gwyneth Paltrow in preen:

Here's my tips for this trend:
* If your wearing a neckline with big cutouts then keep the rest of the outfit simple or it'll take the attention away from where you want it:

* If your big busted choose small cutaway shapes so that it flatters you rather than drawing too much attention:

* If you feel the need to accessorize with this trend, avoid wearing necklaces and opt for styles with a belt :

* If your feeling unsure about this trend go for lace cutouts to play it safe.

* If your worried this trend is too girly for you then choose cobweb crisscrosses instead of girly designs:

My Designer Lust has to be that Nicole Miller dress at the top as worn by Leighton Meester! just need to find it first :)
These are great. I do love that Nicole Miller dress worn by Leighton Meester. Plus I love Leighton.
ReplyDeletethese are awesome!love leighton look!
ReplyDeletei love leighton meester! she looks fab in that dress. my style's more casual & i dun really party as much nowadays, so not much need for such pretty feminine looking dresses! but if i had to choose, i'd go for the one by M&S (but in black/white please! hehe).
ReplyDeletework's really stressful?? it's hard to find a good job nowadays, so hang on to yours for the time being! not much planned for the weekend~~maybe a daytrip to another town?? ;)
urself?

ReplyDeletegreat trend! i think i like the smaller cutouts better though - more wearable for everyday..
